How It All Began

Over 15 years ago I signed up for a basic quilting class at our local community college. Prior to this the only sewing I had ever actually done was to make an apron in Home Economics class when I was High School. So, needless to say, I had never really sewn. But after quilting 101 I found I enjoyed it. Then one class lead to two, then three, and next thing I knew I was hooked! But it was not until 2012 that quilting came to my rescue. You see, it was that year that my son’s US Marine Reserve Unit was told they would be deploying to Afghanistan. It was during his deployment that I threw myself into my quilting. I would spend countless hours in my sewing room cutting fabric, piecing quilt tops, and quilting them on my domestic machine. Like many quilters, I found peace while in my sewing room. Just being in there….. in “my own little world” I felt as if I could solve all the worldly problems and spent countless hours praying with every stitch not only for my son but for his unit and all our service men and women’s safety. By the time my son and his unit returned home safely I was totally hooked on quilting.

After many years of quilting my own quilts or sending them out to a Long arm quilter I decided I wanted to turn my prior “hobby” into a business.

Coming up with a name for my business took forever. But in the end my location described things just right, you see my house sits on the only curve on our road. I love quilting and feel passionate about helping other quilters. I enjoy talking to fellow quilters, educating them, and working with them to complete their quilts and create lasting memories.
